Phoss is a Graceful Glaive who Fights with Panache
Phoss has miles of the Wander in his eyes. The Wander has taken its toll, but a smile is never far from his lips, and a graceful flourish shines through in everything he does.
Cypher Use: Can bear two cyphers at once.
Practiced in Armor: Reduce the Might cost and Speed Pool reduction for wearing armor by 2.
Practiced with all Weapons: Can use any weapon.

Bash (1 Might point): This is a pummeling melee attack. The attack inflicts 1 less point of damage than normal, but dazes the target for one round during which time the difficulty of all tasks it performs is modified by one step to its detriment.
Pierce (1 Speed point): This is a well-aimed, penetrating ranged attack. You make an attack and inflict 1 additional point of damage if your weapon has a sharp point.
Attack Flourish: Choose any number of creatures within short range when making an attack; each of them gains a +1 bonus to its next die roll.

Cypher 1 -
Description: A smooth, crystal graft
Effect: You grow an extra limb which can be used to make an attack.
Note: Out of combat, effect is instant, in combat use requires one action to use, effect takes place following round. Using in combat makes your defensive rolls one difficulty higher when applying the cypher (1 round).
Oddity 1 -
A sticky ceramic sphere that glows with a deep red light. Provides light out to 10 feet. Always on, sticks to any surface (so far). About the size of a racquetball.
Phoss grew up in Fasten, idolizing the glaives who would pass through. The stories they would tell of the world amazed him, they were far more interesting than the life he was destined to live. He wasn’t interested in working the land like the rest of his family did, and once he scraped together enough shins to buy a sword he ran off in the night.
Life on the Road
Phoss spent several lean years making his way from town to town, handling odd jobs and barely making enough to live on. However, he managed to survive, and fortune favored him when an older glaive, Mannek, took an interest in him.
Over the years, Mannek taught Phoss how to properly handle blade and bow. He was a charismatic man who took great pride in passing the knowledge along. One night, after guiding a nano and his team through a ruin to search for numenera, Mannek disappeared. The nano and his team didn’t know what had happened either.
Since the night Mannek disappeared, Phoss has continued to make his way around the Ninth World. He held some hope he would find Mannek the first few years, but the stories he tracked down were from before he knew the man. Slowly, and without noticing, he stopped trying to find his mentor and friend.
Phoss eventually surfaced from his funk, which is when he came to the realization he had been traveling the Wander for months. He had been going through the routine of moving from town to town, taking odd jobs here and there, but never really noticed it was on the well beaten path of the Wander. He was a Peregrine, he just didn’t realize it. Even now, he continues on the Wander out of habit, never sticking with anyone or group for more than the length of a job.
The last job would change his solitary life among the crowd, he just doesn’t know it yet.
The New Group
During his time on the Wander, Phoss eventually came upon Rhai-Lienh. He didn’t recognize the nano after all those years, but it was the same man who was there when Mannek disappeared. The nano, seeing something special in Phoss, convinced him to stick with the group. Phoss was reluctant at first, but when he encountered Shine and his powers he changed his mind. There was something about this group, and Shine, that convinced him he shouldn’t Wander alone. At least, for now.
